This is a base (heat, cool, Off/Auto) thermostat with simple controls. Once this thermostat is programmed for your system, the controls are easily functionfan buttons: on/auto, System: heat/cool/off (auto). You can program to control the system heat/cool/off or heat/cool/auto. in "auto" mode, the thermostat turns on the heat or a/c automatically as the temperature fluctuates.
